    This is my third year as the Chair of the Management Committee for Micah Projects. I continue to be delighted by how the committee conducts its business with dignity and enthusiasm. We have been called on to participate in developing Micah into a streamlined organisation adopting best practice at every level of its operations. It is a privilege to be part of Micah and I sincerely thank all the members of the Committee for their hard work. I particularly want to thank Karyn Walsh for her vision for the organisation.<br>

    Over the past few years, the Community Services Futures Forum has been lobbying for the development of a Compact to underpin how government and the community services sector work together. In November 2007, the Queensland Government agreed to negotiate a Compact with the Community Services Sector in Queensland. The Queensland Compact will be an agreement between the State Government and the non-profit community services sector, represented by the Community Services Futures Forum (a coalition of over 25 statewide human services, peak organisations, service providers and networks across Queensland).
