We have an historic opportunity to work together and end this preventable injustice.
The solutions exist to close the health gap, but the political will does not. The National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO), Oxfam Australia, and ANTaR have released a detailed plan, ready to be implemented when the Treasurer commits to funding it. Read the paper here.
We're calling on the Treasurer to increase funding by $460 million a year. That must be coupled with an increase in Indigenous control and participation in the delivery of health services, and an addressing of critical social issues such as housing, education and self-determination which contribute to the Indigenous health crisis.
As well as putting your name to the petition, you can donate to this crucial campaign here or join the discussion on our blog.

"I call on the Australian Government to take action to achieve health equality for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders within 25 years.
That requires an increase in annual Indigenous health funding by $460 million to enable equal access to health services."
